2021 Rangahau Hauora Training Grant

Our rangahau hauora training grant is intended to provide personal support to individuals seeking to undertake a period of research training relevant to Māori health. These awards are particularly suited to individuals who don't have an academic background but who wish to learn a limited set of research skills relevant to a particular research project. This set of skills would enable them to be involved in an intended piece of research in their own area. Up to $12,000 is available.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for one of these grants, you'll need to be a New Zealand citizen or hold residency in New Zealand, and be of Māori descent. You're also required to have a background and involvement in Māori community activities and be working or training in an area related to health.
