2026 Māori Health Research Summer Studentships
The Summer Studentship provides $7,500 to introduce research to students who have the potential to develop a career in Māori health research and contribute to improving health outcomes for Māori. Applications are sought from students undertaking health-related courses wishing to be involved in a research project focused on improving Māori health outcomes over the summer vacation.
Students should have a suitable supervisor over the tenure of the studentship (10 weeks).
Eligibility criteria
To apply for one of these studentships, you'll need to be a New Zealand citizen or hold residency in New Zealand and be of Māori descent.
Application process
Firstly, you'll need to register your intention to submit an application and then complete your registration online via HRC Gateway. After registration, you'll need to submit a full application online via HRC Gateway using the templates provided below.
