The Foxley Fellowship will enable an individual with at least five years’ experience within the health sector to undertake a research sabbatical within an academic institution. The fellowship’s primary objective is to enhance links between HRC-funded academic research and healthcare delivery and/or health policy. Therefore, an ideal position for the recipient would be within an HRC-funded research project or programme. The research undertaken by the applicant should aim to increase the use of health research results within the health sector.

The fellowship includes a base salary and up to $20,000 per annum per 1.0 FTE as research expenses. The fellowship can be held for up to two years part-time.

Eligibility criteria

You are eligible to apply if you are a New Zealand citizen or hold New Zealand residency at the time of application. You will need to be based in New Zealand and undertake the research activity in New Zealand.

You also must be a health professional engaged in clinical or non-clinical work, a health sector manager or a policy analyst who can commit 1.0 FTE to this fellowship for one year (or at least 0.2 FTE for up to two years).

Please note: Full-time academics or other professionals who are not employed in the health sector are not eligible.
