The Health Research Council of New Zealand (HRC) is seeking applications from New Zealand-based researchers (individuals or teams) with demonstrated collaborations and linkages with China-based researchers.
This RFP aligns with the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment’s (MBIE) Catalyst: Strategic Fund which aims to facilitate the development of research collaborations between New Zealand researchers and international colleagues.
This investment is designed to support a research project focusing on health and biomedical science as agreed by the New Zealand and Chinese Governments. The HRC will fund one project with funding available up to a total of $405,000 (exclusive of GST) over three years.
A parallel application process for collaborating China and NZ-based researchers will be run and applicants must apply in their home country.
Interested parties should read the RFP document and guidelines before completing a registration and subsequent full application. In an update to earlier communications, you will now need to complete the NZ Standard CV template as part of your application. Applicants must register on HRC Gateway no later than 1 pm Wednesday 20 November 2019.
If you have any questions about this opportunity, please contact Fiona Kenning, Research Investment Manager, International Partnerships,
or phone 09 303 5208.
Please note, this funding opportunity is a part of the MBIE Catalyst: Strategic Fund which is separate to the bilateral cooperation arrangement between the HRC and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
